Radio Host Fired Over Islam Remarks

Michael Graham, who was fired in 1999 from a Charlotte radio station for comments related to the Columbine shootings, was fired this week by Washington radio station WMAL-AM after he reportedly refused to apologize for anti-Muslim remarks.
According to WMAL, Graham said "Islam is a terrorist organization" 23 times on his July 25 program. On the same show, he also said repeatedly that "moderate Muslims are those who only want to kill Jews" and that "the problem is not extremism. The problem is Islam."
Mr. Graham reportedly claims the firing is an attack on his First Amendment rights and says the station fired him because he did not apologize. "And I will not apologize for something that is true."
