Keeping the Senate out of Touch

So, I go just went to Senator Barbara Boxer's web page. I wanted to send her an email, when I was greeted by this message:

/// UNDER CONSTRUCTION // /
"The U.S. Senate is currently upgrading our Internet mail system to better serve you..."

Isn't that nice. So we can either write a letter, which may take months before the letter actually reaches the Senator, or I can use a system which is "under construction" and may not work at all. Good thing nothing important is going on in the country, like a war.
