U.S. "Most Unfriendly" Destination

A recent study commissioned by Discover America shows that 70% of international travelers fear U.S. officials more than terrorists or criminals. Two-thirds of respondents worry about being detained over minor errors, such as a botched form. Over half say that U.S. officials are rude.
"We are citizens of a country regarded as one of the closest allies the US has," frequent British visitor Ian Jeffrey told the Orlando Sentinel last November. "Yet on arrival we are treated like suspects in a criminal investigation and made to feel very unwelcome."
