Secret Service Loses Device, Hilarity Ensues

A U.S. Secret Service agent lost a training tool today. It was discovered by staff at the Mayflower Hotel, a few blocks from the White House. The hotel called the police reporting the suspicious package. A bomb squad responded and 300 people were evacuated. Initially, authorities thought it was a "deliberate attempt to make people think it was a real device". It was only later that the Secret Service contacted authorities and explained what happened.
