That's what
Obama has done in his continuing effort to play to the far right (which the media
often classifies as the
"center"). To be clear, while it may have been
bad manners, General Clark
did not question McCain's war record, service, or patriotism, as
some have suggested. He
did say that being shot down and being taken as a POW doesn't automatically qualify a person to be President. And, unlike the
Swift Boaters, who he is now being compared to, Clark didn't distort, question, or lie about McCain's service record.
Big Baby Bill
The President who squandered the biggest opportunity in recent history is reportedly mad that Barack Obama
isn't kissing his ring and begging for support.
Beyond that, some associates say, Bill Clinton wants Obama to reach out to him as a mentor, a guide who can lead Obama through the labyrinth of a tough presidential election. "Bill wants to be honored, to return to the role of Democratic elder statesman, and get rid of this image of him as a pol willing to do anything to win," said one associate.
Is McCain Calling Obama a Liar?
It
would seem so. This despite McCain's
own history of flip-flops.
"You know, this election is about trust, and trusting people's word" McCain told a crowd of donors to his campaign. "And unfortunately, apparently, on several items, Sen. Obama's word cannot be trusted."

McCain: Tax Deadbeat
Newsweek is reporting that, despite being worth over $100 million, the McCain's
have been delinquent on paying their taxes. According to the story, payments were made only after press inquiries.
San Diego County officials, it turns out, have been sending out tax notices on the La Jolla property, an oceanfront condo, for four years without receiving a response. County records show the bills, which were mailed to a Phoenix address associated with Mrs. McCain's trust, were returned by the post office.

David and Elizabeth Lawson, the creators of
"The Sock Obama", a
puppet of a monkey dressed in a suit, have announced they will
go ahead with plans to manufacture the item. This after the contracted manufacturer, Binkley Toys Inc., had
issued an apology and said it would not be manufactured. The Lawsons say it's a matter of fairness.
"It's OK for there to be hundreds of thousands of Google sites containing references to our current president's resemblance to a chimpanzee," the Lawsons' statement said. "However, it's not OK to make that same association regarding our possible next president."
