Cheney's Shoot and Shhhh
After V.P. Cheney accidentally shot his hunting partner on Saturday, there was an 18 hour delay before the news was released. This has raised a number of questions. The shooting was reported only after the owner of the property where the shooting occurred called a local news reporter at the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. A spokesperson for the Vice President's office refused to comment on whether information regarding the incident would have been released at all had the newspaper not contacted them.
