Rumsfeld, ummm, mis-spoke about shoot down
During Secretary Rumsfeld's recent "see how much I care" trip to Iraq, he mentioned that on Sept 11, 2001, United Airlines Flight 93 had been
"shot down" over Pennsylvania. This has fueled
continuing speculation over whether the plane crashed because of actions inside the cockpit, or because it had been shot down, perhaps by U.S. military planes. Today, the Pentagon is insisting that
Mr. Rumsfeld misspoke.
